Neshia and Blake's Engagement Session - Cherry Blossoms @ UW
This winter in Seattle has been a rough one. They say the rain has reached some historic levels, and the cold temperature is just dragging along. But now that the month of April has arrived, it's great to witness one of the telling signs that the warmer Spring weather is right around the corner: the blooming of the cherry blossoms, or "Sakura." These flowers tend to make its appearance late March or early April, and the Quad at the University of Washington features a high concentration of them.Because we didn't want too many other people in the shots, Neshia and Blake were troopers in waking up early and shooting with me around 7am, just as the sun was rising. While it was early and still a bit cold, the experience was totally worth it! Not only was the Quad fairly quiet, the weather and lighting was perfect for their engagement session. But that's not even the best part. Working with Neshia and Blake was a perfect compliment to this awesome scenery. I definitely felt the chemistry between them and with me as well. The entire shoot was full of jokes, laughter, and genuine smiles all around. It's always a great time working with fun couples! I can't wait to photograph their wedding day later this year.
