Wedding Packaging: A Closer Look at the Details

Over the years of photographing weddings, it has become more and more clear that the little intricate details often make the overall project stand out. This applies to many stages of working with clients: the initial communication, study of the shoot location, capturing the ins and outs of the wedding day moments, editing the photos, and even the final task of packaging the wedding photos.I feel that the presentation of how I deliver the photos is just as important as the images themselves. My goal is to have clients receive a personalized product that feels like a wedding gift. Also, the style and contents of that package should reflect not only the couple's overall vibe from the wedding, but should include a "personal touch" to it. This is the reason why I typically go with an engraved USB drive, handcrafted accents, and a customized thank-you card addressed to the couple. For the handmade card, I have collaborated with local artist, Suzi Chang over at Humbleflournishings.com. She has designed and handcrafted all my cards over the past few years. What I appreciate is that she has a different vision for each couple, which leads to a unique design for each card. I have included some pictures of the sample final products below. For the most part, I try to keep the packaging simple and personal. It's always exciting when all the pieces come together at the end and it's ready to be delivered!Suzi Chang is a talented calligrapher and designer. I would definitely recommend reaching out to her for services of creating wedding invitations and programs, thank-you cards, wall art, posters, etc. Feel free to contact her and see more of her work at @suzi.ink and Humbleflournishings.com
