Mahogany's Birthday Bash: 80s Style

Earlier this month, Mahogany celebrated her 25th birthday by taking it back, way back...to the 1980s. Born in the 80s and raised in the 90s is something I can identify with, and it was a lot fun photographing her unique birthday bash. She told me in advance she wanted this event to bring back childhood nostalgia, accompanied with a good cause. Her 80s theme birthday celebration was a charity event that raised money for a homeless organization.Throughout the night, her friends and family participated in a timeless game of dodgeball inside a gymnasium and strutted their 80s outfit at my photobooth. The dodgeball tournament reminded me of my elementary school days. Memories of tetherball, monkey bars, freeze tag, and other playground activities came rushing back.
