Carmen and Erik's Wedding at Blue Ribbon Cooking

Taking photos for Carmen and Erik's wedding was extra special for me. Roughly 5 years ago, Erik and I actually traveled to Ireland together for a business trip. I didn't know Erik at all at the time. After living in the same apartment in Cork, Ireland for 2 months, I could say I had a new friend. Erik is one of the funniest and most straight-forward individuals I know. It was a memorable trip with many recollections of us cracking jokes and taking photos while touring Ireland.Fast forward a few years later, Erik married an equally awesome bride in Carmen. To begin their wedding day, Carmen and her bridesmaids got their hair done at Aria, a salon in Capital Hill of Seattle. Her bridesmaid, Christine, happens to be a skilled makeup artist and did makeup for the entire party.The ceremony and reception was then held at Blue Ribbon Cooking, which is a neat venue in the Eastlake area of Seattle, close to the waterfront. Blue Ribbon is decorated with European accents throughout the venue, with a dedicated area just for the ceremony and dinner. The best thing about the location is the access to the waterfront. You'll see in the following photos what a nice backdrop this location brings. There are a few shots where Carmen and Erik are standing in front of a section of houses that are "floating" on water. Very cool.Without sounding too cliché, I could definitely sense the love and rapport they had with each other and their respective families. Weddings can be stressful, but there was nothing but positive vibes between them, the wedding party, and all their guests. This obviously made taking photos a blast. Carmen and Erik brought the energy, smiles, and plenty of laughter. Some highlights I recall: Erik making his own mother fall during the mother-son dance (she was okay!), Erik's expression during the First Look, both their emotions during the ceremony, and their grand exit.Carmen and Erik, it was truly an honor to document your big day. It was a pleasure working with you two. May you two continue to bring the joy and adventure out of each other!blog37_001blog37_002 blog37_003 blog37_004 blog37_005 blog37_006 blog37_007 blog37_008 blog37_009 blog37_010 blog37_011 blog37_012 blog37_013 blog37_014 blog37_016 blog37_015 blog37_017 blog37_018 blog37_019 blog37_020 blog37_021 blog37_022 blog37_024 blog37_023 blog37_025 blog37_026 blog37_027 blog37_028 blog37_029 blog37_030 blog37_031 blog37_032 blog37_033 blog37_034 blog37_035 blog37_036 blog37_037 blog37_038 blog37_039 blog37_040 blog37_041 blog37_042 blog37_043 blog37_044 blog37_045 blog37_046 blog37_047 blog37_048 blog37_049 blog37_050 blog37_051 blog37_052 blog37_053 blog37_054blog37_055 blog37_056 blog37_057 blog37_058 blog37_059 blog37_060 blog37_061 blog37_063 blog37_064 blog37_065 blog37_066 blog37_067 blog37_068 blog37_069 blog37_070 blog37_071 blog37_072 blog37_073 blog37_074 blog37_075 blog37_077 blog37_076 blog37_078 blog37_079 blog37_080 blog37_081 blog37_082 blog37_083 blog37_084 blog37_085 blog37_086 blog37_087 blog37_089 blog37_090 blog37_091 blog37_092 blog37_093 blog37_094 blog37_095 blog37_096 blog37_097 blog37_098 blog37_099 blog37_100 blog37_101 blog37_102 blog37_103 blog37_104 blog37_106 blog37_105 blog37_107 blog37_109 blog37_108 blog37_110 blog37_111 blog37_112 blog37_113 blog37_114 blog37_115 blog37_116 blog37_117 blog37_118 blog37_119 blog37_121 blog37_120 blog37_122 blog37_123 blog37_124 blog37_125 blog37_126 blog37_127 blog37_128 blog37_129 blog37_130 blog37_131 blog37_132_1 blog37_132 blog37_133 blog37_134 blog37_135 blog37_136 blog37_137 blog37_138blog37_139 blog37_140 blog37_141 blog37_142 blog37_143 blog37_144 blog37_145 blog37_146 blog37_147 blog37_149 blog37_148 blog37_150 blog37_151 blog37_152 blog37_153 blog37_154 blog37_155 blog37_156 blog37_157 blog37_158 blog37_159 blog37_161 blog37_160 blog37_162 blog37_163 blog37_164 blog37_165 blog37_166 blog37_168 blog37_167 blog37_169 blog37_170 blog37_171 blog37_172 blog37_173 blog37_174 blog37_175 blog37_177 blog37_176 blog37_178 blog37_179 blog37_180 blog37_181 blog37_182 blog37_183 blog37_184 blog37_185 blog37_186 blog37_187 blog37_188 blog37_189 blog37_190 blog37_191 blog37_192
