Sarin and Non's Wedding in South Seattle

Sarin and Non's wedding day last summer brought together strong family ties, memories, and culture. Their eventful day began at their parent's house in Des Moines, WA, where a traditional Cambodia ceremony was held to celebrate their marriage. As I showed up, it was noticeable that they were both very nervous and excited at the same time. It was encouraging to see how their family was able to calm their nerves, as relatives joked, provided snacks, and eased them both into the day. You'll notice in the pictures that a lot of people showed up and packed the house. After the traditional ceremony, Sarin and Non changed into their Western-style attire, with a touch of Cosplay influence. Sarin always talked about how her and Non actually met initially through both their love of anime and comics. The wedding party traveled to Kubota Garden in Renton, WA to take some photographs. The sun was beaming throughout the shots, which was quite the contrast from their rainy engagement session back in the Spring. We ended the night at Tea Palace restaurant, where the reception featured a live band, continuous dancing, and a masquerade theme.blog31_001blog31_002 blog31_003 blog31_004 blog31_005 blog31_006 blog31_006_1 blog31_007 blog31_008 blog31_009 blog31_010 blog31_011 blog31_012 blog31_013 blog31_014 blog31_015 blog31_016 blog31_017 blog31_018 blog31_019 blog31_020 blog31_021 blog31_022 blog31_023 blog31_024 blog31_025 blog31_026 blog31_027 blog31_028 blog31_029 blog31_030 blog31_031 blog31_032 blog31_033 blog31_034 blog31_035 blog31_036 blog31_037 blog31_038 blog31_039 blog31_040 blog31_041 blog31_042 blog31_043 blog31_047 blog31_048 blog31_049 blog31_050 blog31_051 blog31_052 blog31_053 blog31_054 blog31_055 blog31_056
