Lina + Dan | Anniversary Session | Juanita Bay Park

If you've checked out my work over the years, you'll recognize this familiar couple. I seriously feel so honored to not only have shot their wedding back in 2014, but to also work with them each year for their anniversary session. Lina mentioned how this yearly tradition stuck with her because it's something her parents did. Each year, some aspects stay the same (their awesome dog Django), while some elements evolve (like Lina's hairstyle). But this year's anniversary session with Lina and Dan is a huge milestone because they're about to be parents later this year. Lina was exactly 20 weeks pregnant during the time of this shoot! To make things even more memorable, we actually had to make a last minute audible in terms of the shooting location. We initially went to another park, but the area was completely infested with mosquitos. It was near a slough, and this type of body of water in the summer time provided swarms of mosquitos I've never seen before. Needless to say, these suckas were feasting, so we switched over to Juanita Bay Park, located in Kirkland, WA.Despite the detour, we were blessed with awesome light as the sun was setting. Juanita Bay turned out to be a great spot to document their 6th year anniversary. Congratulations, Lina and Dan!
