Ashley and Joey's Styled Shoot @ Columbia Winery
As a wedding photographer, I truly enjoy contributing a piece of my creative vision to a couple's special day. I also understand that other vendors strive for that same level of excellence. When all the different elements come together, such as the flowers, catering, cake, and decorations, the couple can feel confident that they are in good hands. I recently had the opportunity to partake in a "sample" of this blend of artistry in an expedited timeframe. A big shout out goes to Reneille Velez of Cake and Lace, who organized this styled shoot for Ashley and Joey at the Columbia Winery. It was a lot of fun collaborating with these other talented artists. Everything was creatively executed to perfection: from the vibrant bouquet, to the exquisite cake and desserts, all the way to the makeup and decor. To begin, here are a few images of the cake and desserts (by Jessica Brockway of BB Nest Bakery), along with calligraphy by Allisa of Letters and Bliss. Wine was provided by Columbia Winery and Wine World Seattle! Ashley and Joey are a wonderful couple. As fairly newly weds, it was evident how comfortable they were in front of the camera. There were a lot of intimate moments, laughs, and genuine good vibes all around. They killed it! The bouquet was beautifully crafted by Fena Flowers: Ashley's lashes were done by Pink's The Beauty Boutique, while makeup was done by Steph Seo Glam: Thank you Columbia Winery for hosting this shoot for us! It's such a great wedding venue, and I definitely look forward to working with them again. After capturing photos outside of this gorgeous venue, we then ventured inside to their Barrel Room for a more rustic vibe: After about 40 minutes, we went back upstairs and to our surprise, the Pacific Northwest brings us some unexpected snow! Ashley turned towards me and asked, "Hey, we should get a shot outside." I am so glad we did! Thank you to all the vendors for putting this awesome shoot together.
