Jennifer and Josh’s Engagement Session @ Alki Beach

Location: Alki Beach, Seattle, WA

Jennifer (I call her “Gee”) definitely calls Seattle her home. In the midst of their travels and work throughout the country, I had the honor to photograph their engagement session back in their hometown. I first met Jennifer around 2008 and one of her great traits is her raw laughter. She holds nothing back, and it seriously lightens up everyone around her. It’s something I have appreciated over the years and especially during their golden hour session at Alki Beach. I can’t wait to document another special day with them next year when they host their wedding celebration! In the meantime, enjoy these images of this great couple alongside some driftwood, water, golden beams, and a special Mt. Rainier appearance.

Pam and Isaiah – Lifestyle Session

Pam and Isaiah wanted to celebrate their 2nd year of marriage by doing a lifestyle shoot together. The weather cleared up after the recent hazy and smoky skies in Seattle, so it was perfect timing for their anniversary.

The couple was a lot of fun to interact with. Isaiah briefed me about their experience from getting married in Canada to settling in Seattle together. I can definitely see why they’re into each other during our 2 hours photographing together.

We started off at Molly Moon’s in Queen Anne, Seattle to get some ice cream.

We then moved along to the top of a condo in Belltown, Seattle. There was a great view of the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier. If you haven’t tried RGB (Root Ginger Beer), I highly recommend it! They sipped on some of that while enjoying the scenery together.

As the sun was setting, we ended up at Olympic Sculpture Park and caught some golden hour shots. Check out those awesome outfits! Really dig the hats too.

Suzi and David’s 5 Year Anniversary

Locations: Georgetown / Lincoln Park / Pier 66

Suzi and David have been great friends of mine over the past few years. Because of this, it was extra special having the opportunity to document some pictures as they celebrated 5 years of marriage together.

We started the session in Georgetown, as the couple wanted to begin with more of an urban vibe to the images. I complimented on their attires, especially Suzi’s jacket because it gave the pictures a certain “edge.” As a couple though, they are anything but edgy around each other. They’re constantly teasing, cackling, and enjoying each other.

Afterwards, we moved along to Lincoln Park, located in West Seattle. It’s one of my favorite parks due to its trails, shelters for BBQ, and a nice little beach with some drift wood. A great setting for more pictures as the sun was going down. As these images were taken during the “wildfires week,” you’ll notice how the sky was still hazy. Nonetheless, David and Suzi quickly changed and strolled along the beach for more anniversary moments.

We ended the session with a quick stop along the water front. On top of Pier 66, we enjoyed the twilight hour with the Seattle city lights glowing in the background. It was a fun way to end the evening with these two. 5 years is a solid milestone, so congratulations!
